# Namsan Night Festival 2026: How to Book Campnic and Night Walk

The Namsan Night Festival 2026 runs on Fridays and Saturdays from October 23 to November 7 in Seoul, with a silent disco on November 14. Campnic and the night walk need a prepaid, refundable deposit.

Campnic was fully booked on October 14, so this guide explains how cancelled spots reopen and what else you can still join. Every fact below comes from the organizer's official site, the Seoul city government and the park and tower operators, checked on October 23, 2026.

All three programs need an advance booking on Naver Booking, a Korean booking site. Booking for Campnic and the walk opened on October 12, and booking for Palgak Club opens on November 2 at 10:00 (as of October 23, 2026; check the official site before you go).

Two ways to read this guide. If you have no booking yet, read *Namsan Campnic is full?* and *The Autumn Foliage Walk* first, because Campnic spots only come back through cancellations. If you already booked, jump to *Campnic evening* and *Getting to Namsan*.

Timeline of a festival evening: first night-walk groups leave at 16:00, Campnic opens and the second walk groups leave at 17:00, the walk gate closes at 18:00, Campnic ends at 22:00, and the last Namsan circular bus leaves at 23:00

Namsan Campnic is full? How cancelled spots and walk-in spots work

Campnic has only 100 sites, and on October 14 the organizer announced that it was fully booked. Cancelled spots return to the Naver Booking page, and you can still book them first come, first served.

Translated: A product that has sold out may disappear from the Naver Booking page. If a cancellation frees a spot, the product can appear again, and you can book it first come, first served. — Namsan Night Festival FAQ

If the Campnic product is missing, it is probably sold out, not removed. Open the Naver Booking page again in the morning and evening. The Campnic page adds one more route: when seats remain after the advance booking closes, you can apply on site.

Translated: If space remains after advance booking closes, you can apply on site. — Namsan Campnic page

Foreign visitors are welcome. The city says so in its English announcement, and it adds that booking on Naver is required.

Both Korean and international visitors are welcome at the 2026 Namsan Night Festival. However, it should be noted that an advance booking via Naver Reservation is required. — Seoul Metropolitan Government

The booking page opens in Korean by default, but Naver Booking can show the festival page in English. The translation is automatic, so Palgak Club appears there as Octagonal Club.

Paying is the open question. Naver's own help center says foreigners without a Korean phone number or I-PIN can join as Naver Pay Global members, who can use only permitted global services and can pay only with overseas credit or debit cards.

Unverified: whether this festival's booking counts as one of those permitted services. Naver's pages do not say, so call +82 70-5226-0759 (10:00 to 18:00, lunch break 12:30 to 13:30) or email namsannightfestival@gmail.com before you plan around a booking. A travel-booking site also lists a separate reservation product for international visitors, but the organizer's pages never mention it, so treat it as unconfirmed.

Not getting a Campnic spot is not the end of the festival. The night walk has its own four dates (Oct 23, 24 and Nov 6, 7), and Palgak Club on November 14 opens for booking on November 2. The walk does not run on October 30 and 31, so those two Campnic nights have no walk to fall back on.

The Autumn Foliage Walk: choose course 1 or 2 and arrive before 18:00

The walk starts at Namsan Yejang Park and follows trails around Namsan. The city's release says it takes 700 people a day, in two groups of 350, and gives out glow-in-the-dark items and a finish-line souvenir.

Two courses, by date

CourseDatesDistance and timeEnds at
Course 1 (3 of 5 stars)Oct 23, 243.8 km, about 1 hour 30 minutesNamsan Library entrance
Course 2 (5 of 5 stars)Nov 6, 74.2 km, about 2 hoursNamsangol Hanok Village

Course 1 has three stair sections and two walking-path sections, and it includes the Namsan Sky Forest Trail, a barrier-free deck. Course 2 uses the North Forest Trail of Namsan, a stretch with continuous downhill stairs that the organizer says can strain knees and joints. If your knees are a worry, choose a date for course 1. Course 1 runs only on October 23 and 24, so if you are reading this later, course 2 on November 6 or 7 is the only walk left.

The official pages I checked say nothing about wheelchair or stroller access. Call the organizer before you book if you need a step-free route.

When to arrive

Groups leave in turns: the first from 16:00 to 16:20 and the second from 17:00 to 17:20.

Translated: The first group departs in turns from 16:00 to 16:20, and the second group from 17:00 to 17:20. Participants who arrive after the regular departure time will gather separately at 18:00 and set off together. — Notice of October 17

Arrive before 18:00. The walk page is stricter than the notice.

Translated: Participants after 18:00 are treated as no-shows and cannot join the trek or get a refund. — Autumn Foliage Walk page

So if you land late, aim for the 18:00 gathering and check in at the registration desk in Namsan Yejang Park with your booking details ready. For example, a traveler who reaches the park at 17:40 has missed both regular groups but can still join the 18:00 gathering.

Campnic evening: what you get and what you cannot bring

Campnic runs from 17:00 to 22:00 at Baekbeom Square, with 100 tent or mat sites against the backdrop of N Seoul Tower and the sunset. The city lists three programs: Moonlight Live (live music), Starlight Cinema (films such as *August Rush* and *Secret*) and Namsan Sunset FM (a live radio show). Start times can change, so check the notices on the day.

You choose one of two types when you book: a tent zone or a mat zone. The tent or mat is already set up for you. Each team also gets one table, four chairs, one lantern and two blankets at no extra cost, and you return them after the event.

Translated: Teams get 1 table, 4 chairs (matching the number of people booked), 1 lantern and 2 blankets as standard, at no extra cost. — Namsan Night Festival FAQ

Who can join

A tent zone holds up to four adults. One person can book alone, and babies and young children can come along, but there are no extra chairs or supplies for additional people.

Food, drinks and rules

You can bring your own food. Cooking and open flames are not allowed. Delivery food works too, but drivers cannot enter the site, so you collect it yourself at the pickup point in the courtyard of Hohyeondang, and a food-truck zone is on site. Personal photos are fine, while paid shoots, live streams and professional equipment are restricted.

Palgak Club on November 14: booking opens November 2

Palgak Club is a silent disco: everyone listens to the same DJ set on wireless headphones that the organizer provides, so the hill stays quiet. The city says each of the two sessions takes 300 people.

Sessions run from 17:30 to 19:00 and from 19:30 to 21:00 on Saturday, November 14. The deposit is KRW 5,000 per person, refunded after you attend, and booking opens on November 2 at 10:00 Korea time. The organizer says the detailed program will be announced later.

From the YTN Seoul Tower bus stop, expect about a 5-minute walk uphill. The Seoul city media site (article dated February 10, 2023) says the Palgak information center stands across from the N Seoul Tower bus stop, and that the summit plaza with Palgakjeong, the beacon mound and N Seoul Tower is a 5-minute walk up from there.

Visit Seoul puts the tower itself 357 m from the stop, and the Korea Tourism Organization says Palgakjeong stands at the summit and can be reached on foot, by circular bus or by cable car. No page gives a walking time to the pavilion itself, so treat 5 minutes as a guide and leave extra time before your session.

Getting to Namsan: no taxis, and the last bus home

The map shows Namsan in central Seoul, which is served by Incheon (ICN) and Gimpo (GMP) airports.

Do not take a taxi to the venues. Ordinary cars and taxis have been banned on Namsan since 2005, and the festival does not provide parking tickets or cover parking costs.

Translated: Namsan Park has banned ordinary cars and taxis since May 1, 2005, and tour buses since August 2021. — Seoul Parks: Namsan Park

The last bus leaves at 23:00 on both routes (as of October 23, 2026; check the operator's page before you go), which fits the 22:00 end of Campnic. The buses take no cash, so board with a transportation card.

Your deposit: refund after you attend, and what cancelling costs

The money you pay when you book is a deposit, and the organizer refunds it after you attend (the Naver Booking page says on site). The FAQ lists refund windows only for people who paid by bank transfer instead of Naver Pay, for example Oct 23 to 24 attendees are refunded between Oct 26 and 31.

If you cancel, the festival follows the Seoul city park ordinance.

When you cancelWhat you get back
Up to 7 days before the use date, or on the day you bookedFull amount
6 to 3 days beforeThe amount minus 10%
2 to 1 days beforeThe amount minus 30%
After the use dateNo refund

Translated: Cancelled up to 7 days before the use date, or on the booking day: full refund. Cancelled 6 to 3 days before: 10% deducted. Cancelled 2 to 1 days before: 30% deducted. Cancelled after the use date: no refund.

Counting back from the use date, a Campnic team that cancels for October 30 gets the full KRW 10,000 only until October 23, and for November 6 until October 30 (calculated from the rule above; confirm on the booking page). A late cancellation costs KRW 1,000 (10%) or KRW 3,000 (30%) of a team deposit. Do not simply stay away: a no-show gets nothing back, and for the walk, anyone after 18:00 counts as a no-show.

Cold nights and rain at the Namsan Night Festival: what to wear and what gets cancelled

Both Campnic and the walk are outdoors, and the organizer warns that evening temperatures can fall sharply. Wear shoes you can walk in, a warm coat, gloves and a scarf. The city says it will set up a heated Warm Zone and provide cold-weather supplies.

Rain and snow can cancel the event.

Translated: In bad weather such as rain or snow, the event may be cancelled for participants' safety. Changes and cancellations will be announced on the event website. — Namsan Campnic page

Strong wind or cold can also shorten hours or change the walk route. Check the notice board on the day before you leave your hotel.
